Listen. This is just a dream. Very clever people can hear dreams, so please, just listen. I know you’re afraid, but being afraid is alright, because didn’t anyone ever tell you fear is a super power. Fear can make you faster, and cleverer and stronger and one day, you’re going to come back to this barn and on that day, you’re going to be very afraid indeed. But that’s OK, because if you’re very wise and very strong, fear doesn’t have to make you cruel or cowardly. Fear can make you kind.
I could never play just the girlfriend or the conquest or the two-dimensional female roles at all. I was raised by my mother alone. She’s one of the strongest women in the world. So for me, it’s very, very important to show it — and especially that young girls can be inspirational; they can be strong and they can do stuff with their lives.
[re: his role as Young Hitler] I thought it was amazing, actually; I really liked it. To get into the mind of an innocent, untouched kid that goes on to become one of the maddest monsters the world has ever seen — as an 11-year-old, I was very excited by that.
